An opportunity to explore Alkina with an educational lens, let our team host you for one of our private experiences focusing on our micro-terroir project within our 60-hectare estate. Immerse yourself in a guided micro-terroir flight of the rare wines that make up our Polygon Project, with Polygon No. 3 Grenache and Polygon No. 5 Grenache as the star attractions. Enjoy a glass of Bodega Garzon Sparkling wine on arrival and a cheese and charcuterie plate with the tasting. After the tasting we’ll take a short walk to a soil pit to understand the project and the terroir more closely. Pre-bookings only.

Start with a glass of chilled Champagne Charles Heidsieck on arrival while we introduce you to our organic and biodynamic farm. This is followed by a structured and guided tasting of the rare wines that make up our Polygon Project: Polygon No. 3 Grenache and Polygon No. 5 Grenache, as well as the Old Quarter Grenache Shiraz Mataro, Striato Shiraz and our Kin range. Afterwards you’ll enjoy our fresh, seasonal Kitchen Garden Lunch Menu with accompanying wines, followed by a cheese board.
We will visit one of our unique soil pits so that you can really understand our micro-terroir approach, before moving to the winery for a Polygon tasting from concrete eggs and tulips. All of this is accompanied by a detailed Polygon Project booklet for you to take away.

Hosted by The Tailor Touring Co. experinece a privately guided day of epicurean delights, local flavours and artistry in the famed Barossa wine region; South Australia’s celebration of some of the world’s finest wine and grape growers. Discover the magic of a contemporary art gallery housed in a century-old farmhouse overlooking the rolling Alkina Vineyards, enjoy private wine tasting and experience the history and intricacies of winemaking from an esteemed Baron of the Barossa.

Bookings are required for all our experiences with 7 days noticed required for our Rock Hammer experience. If your preferred booking time is not available on our website, please contact our team to discuss availability.
The fees for our Alkina experiences are not redeemable on bottle, accommodation or pantry menu sales.
We require all guests who partake in our experiences to be aged 18+ to participate in the wine tasting. Children can be accommodated on our experiences with accompanying adults on request (please make note of this in your booking).
We always encourage you to wear enclosed footwear (i.e. boots or sandshoes/sneakers) when entering rural areas, however dependant on your experience selection, you may not require closed toe footwear. Please be sure to contact our team if you are unsure. If necessary, we may require you to immerse the soles of your shoes in a footbath before entering the vineyard (if applicable) to help prevent the spread of soil-borne pests such as phylloxera.
- Cancellations received 7 days prior to the booking date are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations between 2 to 7 days prior to the booking date will include a cancellation fee of 20% of the full experience cost.
- Cancellations received within 2 days of the booking date, including failure to arrive for the booking, are not eligible for a refund.
